不爱比赛了?!独奏家神话退潮,全球音乐产业生态,正在发生巨变
For a century the soloist was classical music's central figure, produced by a closed loop of competition, recording contract and tour. Dr Xiaoyun Peng documents that loop's collapse. Classical music now holds roughly 2–4% of a recorded music market that nearly doubled to about $29.6bn between 2014 and 2024, and under 1% of YouTube's music content. US classical attendance stood at 4% in 2022, down about five points on 2008, while European festival audiences grew more than 40% between 2010 and 2022 as average recital attendance fell around 15%. Bachtrack data shows recitals at major halls down nearly 20% over a decade. With more than three hundred international competitions registered, the title itself has been diluted. Her conclusion is aimed at conservatoires: an education still organised around concerto preparation trains artisans for a market that no longer exists.
