Classical Concert Planning in London

Inchwise Music plans and runs classical concerts in London, from a single recital to a series. Inchwise arranges the venue, musicians, rehearsals, audience and recording, and runs the event on the day. Each project is quoted to its requirements.

Musicians performing in London

  • Solo recitals and chamber concerts, including a first recital in London.
  • Concerts that mark a recording release or form part of a tour.
  • Concerts in churches, recital rooms and private venues.

Student performances and application recordings

  • Solo recitals for students, including end-of-year recitals and performances before an audition.
  • Recordings for applications to music schools and conservatoires, made to the format each institution publishes — for example, unedited takes where an institution requires them.
  • Students under 18 are recorded and photographed only with a parent’s written consent.
  • Students preparing for an audition can combine a recital with a Mock Audition and Written Report or a Music Assessment and Pathway Report.

Private and organisational events

  • House concerts and salon evenings.
  • Classical music for company events, receptions and celebrations.
  • Concerts for schools and community organisations.

What Inchwise arranges

  • Programme: repertoire, running order, timings, and programme notes in English and Chinese.
  • Venue: a London venue sized to the audience, with piano hire and tuning where needed.
  • Musicians: accompanists and chamber partners engaged for the project.
  • Rehearsals: rehearsal space and a rehearsal schedule.
  • Audience: registration or ticketing, posters, printed programmes, and promotion in English and Chinese.
  • Recording: audio, video and photography.
  • On the day: front of house, stage management and timekeeping.

A project can cover all of these or only some of them.

How it works

  1. Enquiry: the date or date range, the type of event, the expected audience, and the performers and repertoire if known.
  2. A conversation to agree the scope.
  3. A written proposal with a quotation.
  4. Confirmation, bookings and preparation.
  5. The concert, followed by delivery of the recordings and photographs.
