Course PhilosophyPhilosophy does not begin with knowledge — it begins with questions.In this bilingual online seminar, young people will engage with classic philosophical texts and learn to read attentively, think rigorously, and express ideas with clarity. Each session encourages participants to distinguish between what they see and what they think, to listen with curiosity, and to use language as a means of understanding complexity.This course invites students to think through words and rediscover the value of reflective conversation in a fast-changing world.2. Course FormatPlatform: Microsoft Teams (online)
Language: Bilingual (Chinese–English)
Duration: 1 hour per session · 20 sessions in total
Group size: Open enrolment; students will form small discussion groups within each session
Recommended age: 10–16 years (basic English listening and reading ability required)Each class focuses on close reading of short passages from philosophical classics — from Plato, Confucius, and Descartes to Arendt and Beauvoir — supported by stories, questions, and visual prompts that stimulate critical reflection and dialogue.3. Bursary and AccessibilityAt Inchwise, we believe philosophy should be accessible to every curious mind.
